The original coin is paired with a handmade leather discs and leather strap, bringing together two materials that develop character beautifully with age. Designed to be worn around a boot, the piece adds an individual detail that can be interchanged and styled with different footwear, taking jewellery beyond the traditional wrist or neckline.
The old coin retains its original markings and natural patina traces of a time when it circulated as everyday currency in East Africa. Each coin has lived its own history, so variations in colour, wear and surface are part of its story.
