Our most popular seller, these cufflinks are created from old 50 Cent coins, also known as Half-Shilling coins, featuring the lion with Mount Kenya rising in the background, an evocative image of Kenya’s landscape and heritage.
Original examples of these older coins have become increasingly difficult to source, making each pair a special addition to SuhaniMara’s Coined in Time Collection. Rather than allowing these pieces of history to disappear into collections and drawers, SuhaniMara gives them a new life as contemporary jewellery.
Their naturally aged surfaces, markings and patina are part of their story, so no two pairs will be exactly alike.
