Coined in Time Jewellery Set with Old ! shilling East African Coins
Coined in Time Jewellery Set with Old ! shilling East African Coins
Old 1 shilling British East African adjustable coin ring, 3 layer 1 cent copper coin bezel set in a Sterling silver bangle and a 3 layer coin pendant.
This set features different coins from original East African 1 Cent coins date to 1900, when the East African shilling was the currency used across the region and struck during the reign of King George V, the coins feature the distinctive curved elephant tusks that surround their centre, a small but evocative detail from East Africa’s monetary past.
The original 1 shilling coin features Mount Kenya and lion imagery that captures both the landscape and wildlife so closely associated with the region. Its original lettering, relief and naturally aged surface are deliberately preserved, allowing the history of the coin to remain central to the design.
The natural age, markings and patina of each original coin are deliberately preserved, making every piece a little different and part of a much larger story.
Coined in Time because history should not be forgotten. It should be preserved, worn and passed on.
