Featured here are a pair of original silver-plated 1908 Deutsch-Ostafrika cufflinks.
When most of Africa was under colonial rule until independence, German East Africa or Deutsch-Ostafrika was a German colony which consisted of Tanganyika (mainland part of present day Tanzania), Rwanda and Burundi and was formed in the 1880’s and ended with the World War 1, when the territory was taken over by the British and Belgians.
These 5 Heller Copper/Bronze Silver plated cufflinks from 1908 would be a great conversation piece and the perfect gift for a history buff or for the collector as a keepsake of times past.
